Dr Helen Winter is an experienced Consultant Medical Oncologist committed to professionalism, clinical excellence, and earlier cancer diagnosis. Her practice is grounded in integrity, equity, and respect for patients, colleagues, and the standards that underpin safe, high-quality care. As SWAG Cancer Alliance Clinical Director, Helen provides strategic leadership across cancer services, aligning clinical delivery with workforce development and system improvement. She has led on regional programmes in early detection, research, innovation, strengthening clinical outcomes and workforce resilience. As a clinical leader she promotes a compassionate approach to complaints, recognising their impact on individuals, teams, and future patient care.
